Our Master of Public Health is one of the most innovative public health programs in the United States. Our interdisciplinary curriculum equips you with the skills and experience to excel in the 21st century health workforce and enables you to contribute to the quest of improving the public’s health. Public health is more than a job it’s a calling to make a difference.

The mission of University of New Haven’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program is to prepare healthcare professionals who prevent disease, promote health, and protect the well-being of the public through education, practice, research, and service.

Through our program, you will gain the leadership skills, innovative mindset, and background in evidence-based decision-making that are required to excel in the field of public health. You will also curate the professional, social, ethical, and political understanding of health you need to succeed from in- and out-of-the-classroom experiences. As a student you will learn public health by doing public health.

Our core curriculum provides the broad foundation in key areas including epidemiology, biostatistics, social and behavioral sciences, healthcare administration, and environmental health, along with more advanced coursework focusing on the range of issues relevant to public health today, including global health, healthcare leadership, public health ethics, public health law, and public health practice, planning, and evaluation.

Our MPH is one of the most innovative in the United States because it features:

• Personalized on-the-ground academic support, small classes, and faculty and alumni advisers to mentor you throughout your career journey
• Convenient course offerings including hybrid, online, and evening courses for flexible study
• Elective courses that enhance and expand the learning experiences in relation to student interests in public health

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or from a foreign institution that is recognized by its jurisdictional Ministry of Education for granting baccalaureate degrees. Generally, a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (where A is 4.0), based on all undergraduate courses taken at an accredited college or university, is expected though consideration will be given to prior graduate study and to supplementary professional experience. English Language Requirements: The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination with a minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based test (IBT), The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.5 is also acceptable. The Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum score of 53 is acceptable.
