Overview

With the support and flexibility to tailor our course to your individual career aspirations, you’ll build the essential skills to thrive in a global environment.

Designed to build on your previous business foundation course or HND, you’ll have the option to study across one or two years to achieve your BA in business administration – with the latter including a year-long industry work placement. You’ll develop the essential business and administration skills to work across a wide range of private and public sector companies and gain the confidence to apply your knowledge across all disciplines.

Covering all aspects of international business administration, you’ll also have the opportunity – through our dedicated workshops – to develop your business writing and professional communication skills to further enhance your CV.

Course content

Alongside building effective business skills you will develop your knowledge of organisations; their functions, structure and management. You will study the environment of international business encompassing different cultures and learn how stakeholders and partners engage in an international context.

Through structured modules you will learn to interpret business reports and evaluate performance, and build knowledge of key management tools and techniques within a global context. You will also select from a range of optional modules so you can tailor your studies to your interests.

What will you gain?

You will learn to work effectively in teams, and be able to present and communicate business administration ideas with confidence in a global marketplace. We will also support you to put together a career development plan to ensure you can work towards your goals effectively.

Assessment

You will be assessed through exams and tests, as well as essays and other written assignments, presentations and case study analyses. Some assessed work will be group work. You will receive regular feedback on your work.

Upon graduation you will be highly sought after by employers due to your understanding of global business operations, your analytical and problem-solving skills and your ability to think logically. You will be well prepared to work in an international firm, in the UK or abroad.
