The CS + Chemistry degree requires a minimum of 24 hours of coursework in chemistry, as follows.

12 hours of foundation courses in chemistry. 8 hours of these 12 hours must be in CHEM 102-105 or CHEM 202-204. 4 hours of these 12 hours must be in CHEM 232 or CHEM 236.

12 hours of advanced chemistry. These 12 hours must be at a 300- or 400-level and chosen in consultation with an advisor, who will consult with the Department of Chemistry as necessary to obtain approval. 4 hours of these 12 hours must be in CHEM 440 or CHEM 442.

English language Requirements: International undergraduate students whose total TOEFL scores are 102 (TOEFL iBT) or below (*total IELTS score of 7.0 or below) are required to take the EPT. To be exempt from EPT, students must score either on TOEFL iBT: total 103 or above, and 25 or above on both speaking & writing; or on IELTS: 7.5 or above total, and 7 or above on both speaking and writing.
