The Department of Economics at USC is a vibrant collection of faculty and students. The Department’s scholars have received numerous awards, serve on the boards of major academic journals and several are members of prestigious societies such as the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Econometric Society. The Department is renowned for its training in econometrics, development economics, experimental economics, and in recent years, there has been a faculty buildup in macroeconomics and applied economics.

The Master of Science in Quantitative Economics is a 32 unit program designed for students who wish to advance their knowledge in the practical applications of econometrics, statistics and probability.
