The programme is designed to accomplish the following objectives:
- To introduce students to key concepts, debates, and perspectives on global studies and global society, with critical and reflective appraisal of those from different canons and western and non-western perspectives;
- To equip students with a broad range of research methods including quantitative, qualitative, ethnographic, and interpretive, and the ability to discern between these methods;
- To empower students with the competencies for appreciating the ethical and value issues associated with global society, and for translating their own perspectives into professional practice.

- Global Environmental Health
- Global Political Economy
- Global Social Development
- Global Urban Systems

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor's degree for admission to a Taught Postgraduate degree programme; English Language Requirements: TOEFL - 550 (Paper-based), 79 (Internet-based); or IELTS (Academic): Overall Band at 6.5; or CET-6 (College English Test band 6): 450.
