专业概况

在这里学什么？ This is a joint honours course, where you study Anthropology alongside Communication, Media and Culture. Brookes is distinctive among UK universities in teaching biological and social anthropology in tandem. Biological anthropology explores our evolutionary history, our response to environmental challenges and our relationship to the other primates, while social anthropology helps you to appreciate and respect the customs and beliefs of other societies. Brookes is home to the Anthropology Centre for Conservation, Environment and Development, and the Europe-Japan Research Centre, while other resources include the world-renowned Pitt Rivers Museum of Anthropology and World Archaeology just a mile away. An Anthropology society is also led by students. Communication, Media and Culture is structured around the three key themes of communication, media and culture in contemporary society and will develop your skills as an effective communicator. You can specialise in one theme or engage in all three, according to your interests and career ambitions. Oxford is a media and communications hotspot. It is home to numerous cultural institutions, has a flourishing new media industry, and is one of the world’s leading centres for publishing.

为来自中国的学生设计 Qualifications equivalent to UK A-levels: Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate PLUS a recognition foundation course. Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate plus Gaokao (National College Entrance Examination/National College Entrance Examination/NCEE). IELTS 6.0-7.0, with 6.0 in reading and writing, and 5.5 in listening and speaking. One year of university in China achieving at least 75% overall.
