Our research focuses on providing innovative and practical solutions to industrial problems, with particularly strong industry-focused research in the oil and gas and renewable/sustainable energy sectors. Our research is well recognised for transferring new technologies to industry through spin-out companies, patents and knowledge transfer partnerships.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students need to have of the following qualifications: a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised "211" or "985" university with an overall average of 65% (4 point scale 64-67% = C- and 5 point scale 60-74% = C). 70% is required from all other recognised universities in China. Students who hold a three-year college Diploma from a recognised institution will need to successfully complete a pre-masters programme in China or the UK to be considered for entry. A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent. Applicants with lower qualification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis. Students need to have an IELTS overall of 6.5 includes 5.5 in Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening.
