As a genetics and biotechnology major at the University of New Haven, you’ll learn this first hand, using technology to modify living organisms to benefit humankind. You’ll develop the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this exciting, flourishing field.

Through this program, you will:

• Take courses in biochemistry, genetics, cellular, and molecular biology
• Experience unique and innovative courses in nucleic acid biochemistry, genomics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology of proteins
• Learn how this knowledge can help treat disease, develop drugs, decrease our environmental footprint and produce food
• Integrate classroom learning with laboratory experience
• Have the opportunity to participate in internships and gain research experience
• Interact with representatives from the local biotechnology and pharmaceutical community
