专业概况

在这里学什么？ The foundation course in Geology is designed for applicants who do not meet the entry criteria for the BSc (Hons) Geology degree. You’ll start by completing a foundation year, which provides well structured support, allowing you to develop your scientific skills and knowledge and progress to the degree in Geology.On this Geology course, you’ll explore diverse topics, including how to describe, analyse and interpret rocks, how volcanoes are formed, how ice ages originate, how to search for oil and gas, and what Britain was like 300 million years ago. Our Geology degree emphasises applied geology, so you will learn vital skills for the workplace, including geographical information systems (GIS), geological mapping, and geological methods. The final year also includes several industry led workshops.
