Individualized teaching is one of the characteristics of SDA. Teaching students according to their aptitude is what our teachers have been committed to. All the faculty in our school attended first Professional Development(PD) of this semester with the purpose of better maximizing students' learning effect.

Differentiated Instruction in Inclusive classroom
Natalie博士通过不同的方式,将差异化教学培训贯穿始终:教学目标的分享,暖场讨论、关于教学中统一与差异化的指令、分组讨论等,让教师们思考自己班级的实际情况,同时也参考其他班级,更好地服务于个性化教学。
Dr. Natalie carried out differentiated teaching training through different methods. Sections including sharing of teaching objectives, warm-up discussion, instruction on unity and differentiation in teaching, group discussion, etc., allow teachers to combine the reality of their own class and others to better serve for differentiated teaching.
“This session I provided participants with practical ways to differentiate classroom instruction for English language learners based on readiness. A particular focus was on understanding how to differentiate pedagogical practices to foster inclusion in SDA classrooms.”

By the end of this session teachers learned a lot. They will be able to better define inclusionary practice, identify low preparation and high preparation strategy based on student readiness, and know how to use each strategy in the classroom.
